steering wheel iva?
Hi all again,another quick question i am building a early westfield seiw it uses a allegro steering coloum,would the car pass the iva using this and a
mountney steering wheel still or would i have to re-think and use something else?

As long as it has a colapsable section and there is the correct angle at a UJ to fold under impact the column should be fine.
Steering wheel usually need a pad over the horn push and the spokes for IVA, I think Mountny do one.

As above for the column. They do a pad but it is expensive for something that you won't want post IVA so I spend an hour with some ali sheet
foam and leatherette and made the pad below which passed. Just make sure that when you push the foam on the pad with your thumb you can't feel
the ali sheet, you will be fine if you use velcro to fit it as the testers don't like seeing holes on a steering wheel that weren't
designed that way.
