No Steering lock for IVA?
Is it ok to have keyed switch and an electronic imobiliser or will I need to have a steering lock?
I have read the manual but cant quite get my head round what they want!

Two form of security. Can be mechanical (ignition lock) or electronic (immobiliser).
No requirement that it has to have a steering lock.

Are you guys sure?
The latest M1 manual (Revision 4, 24/05/2010) says:
"A vehicle MUST be fitted with either a mechanical anti-theft device or an electronic imobiliser"
AFAICS, the manual has never specified 2 forms of security. Or am I missing something?

I'm with you brother ..........
Check, in addition to the normal “ignition” switch, that the vehicle is permanently fitted with an anti-theft device or an electronic immobiliser that
can be activated to prevent the vehicle being driven or moved under its own power.
A mechanical anti-theft device could be a steering lock or transmission lock. An electronic immobiliser can be activated by the ignition key (so would
not be obvious) or could be separate - activated by a little fob type device
