Fuel and brake lines

Hi,
What are the rules for fixing these lines? in the tunnel and on the chassis?

IVA manual only states they should be "adequately supported". Most people have in the past used the 300mm spacing requirement of the wiring regs as a guide.

Obviously the pipe should be fixed so that it cannot rub on what ever it is fixed to, whether this is by rubber lined p-clips, plastic p-clips, proper pipe clips or a piece of rubber hose round the pipe and then cable tied as is common on live axles is up to you.

Somebody's tester did say that the test for him was that if he "plucked" the pipe and it vibrated then it was not supported well enough.

Davie

EDIT: changed to 300m, thanks adi

As Daviep says... except the spacing quoted for wiring is 300mm max.

Its normal to run fuel lines and wiring loom on opposite sides of the tunnel.
