laptop wanted
As per the title peep's,
i am on the lookout for a laptop with a com port to
connect to my megajolt and megasquirt.
It doesnt have to do much or be very fast as long
as it works.
Anyone???

Craig, Kris doesnt have his anymore so thats out.
Rich, thank you for the kind offer mate.I have borrowed
Steve's laptop but i dont feel great having someone elses
kit in my charge and want to return it asap.
I feel i should have my own anyway.

I have a Dell x300 going spare. No com port... but can you use a USB com emulator?
Think its a 1.6Ghz with 600mb of ram.. windows XP. Wont run for long on the battery tho.

Thanks for the offer but i have a new laptop that doesnt have a com port and
I have tried an adaptor but it didnt work.I have been to
3 different computer shops and maplins but they all sell the same
emulator.
I dont want to mess about trying to find something that will work,
so figure just do it right and get a lappy with a port.

Hmm! I've got a really old one batteries probably goofed you can have it for postage. I use a fairly modern one with an ebay converter no
probs

not connected my jolt to computer yet but not confident with the adaptors available. proper com port would be best
