Broke down any ideas

Hello
Out in the kit earlier driving along and everything went dead all electrics out. Had to get towed home doh. Checked fuses at side of the road all seem fine, haven't had the chance to investigate yet, any ideas as to the cause?

You got a kill switch that could have gone faulty, maybe a loose earth?

Cheers

Rich

Are you using ZX9 electrics? It could be the 30 amp fuse in the starter relay.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If it's ALL electrics then it should be quite easy to find. First place to look would be the battery terminals, just because they are on doesn't mean they are making contact. Do you have a main fuse? Battery earth? How does your positive from the battery get split up to go to the fuse box, starter etc?

It is all the electrics, I will look tomorrow and no doubt be back for more suggestions if I'm stuck thanks for all the speedy responses. I think the car could do with a full re wire I bought it part built. And yes it is zx9 electrics and I checked the fuse in starter relay and its not that one.

On that topic if I decide a rewire is needed and also decide I don't have the relevant skills does anyone know any good reasonably priced places to get a rewire?

I'm def not tryin to teach anyones gran to suck eggs, but check the "4gang" main fuse attachment. I've seen a few of those go a bit Pete Tong in my time... As for people to rewire, get a (full, complete, intact, correct year) loom and it shoild be a piece of pee with advice on here...
