really easy. Pull out the drive shafts with a puller. remove prop. undo the diff bolts and pull out the diff. job done.

diff

Can it be done on the car by rotating the axle or is it best to remove the axle?

Anywhere I can find the torque setting for the prop and diff bolts?

The axle can be left on the car to change the diff

its straightforward except...lifting the diff into place - some of the clearance isn't great and it flipping heavy to have lying on your back, away from your body (if you dropped it on your face it would make a REAL mess) trying to get 10+ studs to line up...

get a mate round.
