Are your font indicators wide enough and do you not need some side repeaters?
Otherwise very smart and tidy

Very clean and very smart.
Also thought that indicators need to be on wider stalks, I maybe mistaken mind

Thanks, Side repeaters are 397mm from the widest point on the rear wings & the repeaters are on the rear wings.

Very nice.
Only thing I can see is the width of the front indicators. Must be within 400mm of the outer edge of the car (widest part usually the rear arch)
No side repeaters apparent on photos. Need to be on front or rear arches to meet angles of visability rules.
edit. Must type faster. 3mm to spare is a bit close for comfort though. I'd be giving the brackets a temporary tweek.
You probably don't need the cups around the switches as they're within the exempt area of the dash.
Are the radii OK on the mirrors?

Thanks, I thought there wasn't an exempt area When a windscreen wasn't fitted, But they will fall off later & I think the mirrors are
OK

Thanks for your compliments, I was a bit gutted after having taken it round the car park across the road & Spotting my 25 year old daughter
looking admiringly on she commented that it looked like a Noddy car.
Don’t you just love them.

So do I. That looks a well thought out build. I particularly like the covers over the seat belt mounting points. What did you use for those?

Im not much use as far as IVA compliance goes but i had to just add a comment.
What a great looking car You should be very happy with how its turned out, as said above, it is really nice to see a book built car.
I wasnt too confident in my skills to make a chassis & body from scratch so i bought the chassis & body from luego but as far as the rest of
the build goes, im sourcing/making it all myself so hopefully it will turn out somewhere near as good as yours.
Good luck with the IVA

Is you chassis number stamped into the ali sheet that is fixed by pop rivets (below your vin plate), think it needs to be stamped into the actual
chassis, something that is not easily removed?
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Thanks, The seat belt covers are made from bacon containers from the pound shop as was the guard round the filler cap but that’s the bottom of a
measuring jug, The VIN is also stamped on a gusset between the chassis tubes to the right of the photo

Like others who have commented, I think you've built a very smart little car. I have some general questions -
i) What ground clearance is there ground-to-sump? From your pics, I note you're using a Xflow engine, and the airfilter doesn't protrude
thru the bonnet.
ii) Your boot cover looks very neat, but appears to be fixed. If it isn't, how have you arranged for it to be hinged? And how did you shape it
so well?
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

You car looks really good.
It looks like the cover on the top wishbone adjustment nut is cable tied on. When I took mine to Nottingham Last week Martin wanted it gluing together
so it is more like a sleave.
Don't forget to take a good selection of tools and trim pieces with you.
Good luck

Hi I’ve got about 4” under the sump , Its only a 1300 with a very shallow filter & I’ve beaten a bulge in the bonnet. I’ve got 6” under the body
its set a bit high at the moment to give me 360mm under the front & rear lights but I’m sure that will settle down after the IVA. The boot lid
isn’t finished yet & is fixed down but I intend cutting where the rear edge of the bacon tubs are & fitting a piano hinge, I already have a
lock fitted ether side at the back. I’m so proud of those seat belt covers I’m worried someone will pinch em on the way from the IVA. The edge of the
boot lid was beaten in situ by annealing it.

Thanks for the tips Jeff. Top balljoint covers are held on with zip ties but they are made up covers made to be removable & refit able & I
will be taking the entire contents of my workshop with me.
