Type of approval?
I purchased my Mk from guernsey and I am trying to get the car on the road
If possible I would like to not have to take it for iva? The one thing I'm stuck on is the type of approval, it seems if I had this I could fill
out the whole v55/5 therefore not needing an iva?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

It will need an IVA as the MK is not type approved
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Type approval, is the system where car manufacturers get mass produced production cars approved for use on the road. IVA is the alternative that
allows kit cars to be allowed to be registered.

...and despite IVA getting a bad rap due to its many rules, its infinitely easier than what is needed for type approval!!

Does type approval not need so many cars bounced into walls..... to "Crash" test them?

Yep, one of many tests that we don't have to do for the IVA thankfully!
