Weights on chasis plate

Do the axle and total weights need to be on the chasis plate? I have got the sticker that mk supplied with the kit but all it has is mks contact details and the vin number. I've had a look at the manual but can't work out if I need to get a new plate made up.

The plates I've seen in kit car magazines only have the chassis number, there doesn't appear to be any other details as far as I can see.

Is it reasonable to assume that an axle weight can change, for example during an engine conversion? You wouldn't want to replace the chassis plate when you change from car to bike engines?
