Delaying IVA?

Having trouble getting enough readies together to IVA and register the car. Every time I have the money saved something comes along, the last thing was the chimney stacks needed pointing, bye bye £400
Now, if I send off the IVA form can I delay the actual date of the test until next March? I ask because SWIMBO is to receive a bonus
from work that will cover the IVA and registration, and is happy to do this

Yea, I know, it's the fact that every time I get the money saved something comes up, my perverse logic says, if the money isn't there
it can't be spent on something else

Just put the money aside and don't touch it. What would you do if you didn't have the cash spare anyway? Get up and do your own pointing?
