telltales on instruments
Hi,
Does anybody know if the telltales for the lights, indicators, hazards etc need to be illuminated for night driving?
Cheers,

Tell tales as in warning lights,? surely if they are on they are on, regardless of if its night or day?

I mean for example the marking telling you that a switch is for the headlights.
My switch panel is in my centre console. Can I have an engraved marking to show its for the headlights that doesn't illuminate an a separate
light which comes on by the steering wheel when the lights are switched on?
Cheers

Theyre techically called contol identifications.. lol or a pictogram if its a symbol., and no there's no requirement for them to be lit. Only
:
Where provided Identification of Controls, Tell-tales and Indicators;
1. Must be clear so not to cause confusion.
2. Must be on or as close to the controls, tell-tales and indicators as possible as not to cause confusion.
3. Must stand out clearly from the background.
An Information Display Device if Fitted;
4. Must be able to display simultaneously the warning
