Iva application - anything else needed?
Hoping to get the forms sent off today.
I have filled out the IVA1C application form and the IVA4 amateur declaration. Also photocopied receipts for major stuff (28 receipts in total) and
got a DVD with all my build photos on (a few too many... 1400 photos in total)
Anything else I need to include before posting?

On a serious note, I paid for mine yesterday after they received my paperwork, and I included what you said, but also added my letter from DVLA
showing allocated chassis number (don't need if you made your own), I also included a letter from Ford to prove the age of the engine for the
emission test, a few receipts, a load of photo's and that's it.
They phoned and took payment, happy days.

I ticket card payment so hoping they phone for that next week.
I haven't done anything about proving engine age. I was under the impression you only need to prove its before '95 for the emissions and
as mine is a 2002 it will have the "harder" emission test.

My opinion is that you should only show the minimum No of pictures at all stages. The Amateur Build declaration should ideally show pictures with you
and your kit in your garage/house and at several stages. The garage in relation to the house is a good idea. I had them printed out at Boots (10 off
max). Don't flood them with information you are asking for trouble.
The IVA man is interested in hidden items like seat belt welds, pipes hidden by tunnels, fuel systems parts etc that cannot be easily seen. If the
picture does not satisfy him he may make you take it apart.
Documents to prove what spec petrol and brake fluid flexible pipes are made to.
Details of where to find the engine serial No I made a label saying engine Number here >>>
Don't fit things that turn a new page in the book unless you can help it like windscreens etc
Seatbelts need conformance labels.
Sharp edges are a big NoNo check with a tool that all radii are to spec above floor level
Make sure you have adequate mirrors
Check your noise level on a phone app, they are surprisingly accurate.
Brake efficiency and consistency is a big check area. Drive it on a private road if you can and bed in the brakes.
Emissions can be a problem go to an MoT station for a quick check if not sure
