MOT and Demisters
My car is coming up for its first MOT. It has a windscreen, wipers and winscreen washers but no demister blower.
Will it fail MOT or can I argue that as there is no roof I don't need to fit a demister ?
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

No requirement for demisters at MOT.

Didn't take the chance as I was unsure. So took the screen off which led to a note on the mot saying ' no screen fitted, wipers and
washers not tested'.
Didn't say anything about demister not tested.

I believe so but only if you have a full screen fitted. Not if only an aeroscreen

Yes but they are not at present a requirement for MMT

Thanks guys. Now all I have to worry about is my screen is not kite marked
