L7 Cub Sport Seats
Hi Guys,
At my IVA the examiner asked to see evidence of the make up of the steel frame of the seats, mainly between the harness cut outs. myself and he could
feel steel there but he wanted to see a picture.
was wondering if anyone has a photo of the seats without the vinyl and padding on with the steel frame exposed?
regards Jon

Whats the alignment of the belts through the seats holes?
If the belt slopes up from the top anchorage to the hole then the seat is regarded as structural and you may be asked for info about the seats
strength. If the belt is horizontal or downhill from the anchorage to the hole the seat structure doesn't matter. Tthats what I was told at SVA
when I asked why they were putting a spirit level on my belts.

The harness points are lower than cut outs. So i need evidence of what is holding the harnesses
up.

Most people with that issue use longer bolts and spacers to raise the belt mounting point. It's a poor engineering solution as the bending force
on the mount is high but it will pass IVA... and then you can remove the extensions.
