Do i need a reverse light for SVA????

Silly question maybe..... but I'm sure I've seen a few locosts on the road without them?

I'm about to order my Landrover rear lights so would love to know what the rules say?

Make sure the Fog light is high enough aswell., its a common SVA fail.

And make sure it's vertical as well (or has the reflector vertical - as in the VW Beetle). That's another common fail point.

How high does the fog light have to be?

I was thinking about mounting it hanging down from the back panel?

Underneath? I think it'll be too low. I haven't got my manual handy, sorry.

What I did was make an L shaped braket for SVA which mounted underneath and stuck up the back panel so it was high enough. Then, it, er, fell off and mounted itself underneath in the centre afterwards, somehow

Did that make sense? I might have a picture.

Cheers

My car went for it's first SVA with the fog light below the car (pic1). Had no problem passing the second time with the fog light above the number plate (pic2)
