Tax exemption
Can anyone in the collective confirm or otherwise that a 1975 MG Midget is road tax exempt please?
We are fairly sure it is but have found conflicting reports.
Cheers guys.

It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

its a misnomer, whilst 'tax exempt', it still has to have tax (at the zero rate (or sorn).),
PS you can only change the tax class (to historic) when taxing the vehicle, but this change can now be done at post offices.
its currently nominally a rolling 40+ years

it used to be a rolling 25 years, but one of the first things that mr brown once he was chancellor did was to freeze it at pre-jan 73
and its stayed frozen in until not that long ago, so now we have a rolling 40+ years, but who knows when they might decide to freeze that again....
