clearance between gearbox and fuel line.
How much clearance does there have to be between the gearbox and a flexible fuel line. There's not much space in the transmission tunnel and the
gearbox is only maybe 7 - 10 mm from the fuel line. Is that ok? Clearly the gearbox will move on the mountings slightly.

That is a little tight considering the motor and gearbox are effectively soft mounted.. so many variables hardness of your mounts, motor balance
etc... it also depends on where the clearance is in relation to the mount. Not sure I would be happy with anything less than 20mm to be honest and
that would be pushing it....

You can add some protection to the fuel line where the pinch point is.
Simply splitting some thicker walled hose and cable tying over the fuel line will help.
You will need to check hear and there

AS above, unless theres an alternative route giving more clearance. Also depends on where on the gear box, as some of the movement will be rotational,
so it will rock on the lower mount, so movement near the mount will be less than further away.

This would probably be my method too.

You might also be best getting it into a "corner" of the tunnel that way the movement of the gearbox will hit a chassis before the fuel
lines..
