IVA Harness Extensions
So the mounting points on my roll cage are quite far back, and as such the shoulder straps aren't as long as i'd like.
If you have the seat all the way back then the lap belt is just about in your lap, if you are shorter though, it ends up around your stomach.
Question 1: Will it pass IVA as it is? (I'm happy with it as I need the seat all the way back - but assuming it would be failed on this)
Question 2: Will using this:
Harness Extender be acceptable to use to lengthen the straps, or would this be a fail.
I'd rather not have to purchase new harnesses or have to weld new mounting points on the rollcage, but I'm not sure what is allowed.
Any advice?
I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm assuming you'd need four. Have you spoken to the harness manufacturers? They may be able to sell you a longer to section cheaper than
a full harness

The seatbelt checked at my IVA done as the seat was set, not moved on the slider. I assume set up for me, being the driver?

Not yet, I'll ring up and ask. I'd probably only need 2 as the passenger seat is fixed. Saloon Car harnesses have longer shoulder straps,
but once again would need to ask if I can get just the the shoulder sections.
I have no idea what I'm doing.

Hopefully then I'm just worrying about something that is a non-issue then
I have no idea what I'm doing.

or just lock the seat position, doesn't have to be adjustable

Drivers must be adjustable according to the IVA manual, Passenger doesn't (and isn't for me)
I have no idea what I'm doing.

No I'm just wrong, double checked - It just says that if it is adjustable, it must be in the rearmost position (which works for me )
I have no idea what I'm doing.
