Charcoal Canister
Hello everyone,
I'm using a Mk1 MX5 as my donor, and Im wondering, do I have to retain the charcoal canister and gubbins to pass the iva?

Isn't part of the IVA but some cars have them wired into the engine management system so if you can trick the system then yeah you can bin it
but tbh it does no harm to have it.

Brilliant thanks! What about EGR valves and all that? I have fitted a catalytic convertor, have people removed EGR valves and still passed iva with
emmisions ?

tbh the MX5 was such a well put together car and so reliable I'd be leaving the engine as factory, besides you start stripping off all the
emission stuff the ECU will probably become your enemy unless you want to go all mega squirt

The issue is that I have an aftermarket exhaust manifold...
