Engine number for an IVA test

I am fitting a Jaguar AJV6 engine in a MGB, due to the modifications to the bulkhead and a coil spring rear axle among the most noticeable mods I am sure it will need an IVA test. Amongst a few other problems is the engine number, Ford in their wisdom never stamped an engine number on the block, or anywhere else come to that. All they used was a printed sticker on the front of the engine, when I gently wiped twenty years of grime off the sticker the serial number was wiped as well. Will I have a problem at the IVA test? What have others done?
Obviously I have tried my local Jaguar dealer a very helpful man said that as Ford built the engines Ford kept the build details and since Ford sold Jaguar they no longer have access to any info. All they were able to produce was a car build date in March 2001 and a registration date of 2001. Any guidance would be appreciated.

The change to rear suspension is only 2 points lost, so isn't an issue. The bulkhead, on a monocoque, might be.
Depending on if you have "repaired" the area or done something obviously drastic. I know any alterations to the monocoque should result in IVA, but lets be honest, if it looks "factory" and is done well......

Regarding engine number, I have created my own unique number for a zetec where the etched number was unreadable. In fact I used the zetec engine code (I think it was NGA) and stuck that on the end of the Triumph engine number I was removing. That idea came from seeing factory recon engines wherer they had added a suffix to engine numbers.

I didn't fully detail the changes, in addition to the welded in coil spring mounts, there is the bulkhead mods, different gearbox, the holes in the inner wings for the exhausts to exit and the steel welded on wheel arch flares, modified front cross member for engine clearance, the EPAS and an additional UJ in the steering to lower the shaft to clear the manifold Some of these I could argue MG did ie similar bulkhead mods for the V8 engine and the inner arch holes for the exhaust. A previous owner put two new rear half wings on but he made such a hash of it there was really only two options, either two new full wings (£825 each) or the arches to cover up 90% of the damage. I am not sure if some of them count, ie the EPAS, the brake upgrades front and rear, Sebring fibre glass flares seem to be OK but steel ones? I plane to visit a local IVA test centre to see if they can clarify things.

there are quite a lot of 6 cylinder engines with the engine no. 1-5-3-6-2-4. (mistakenly taking the firing order :-)

Yes especially only the first six numbers are required for the engine id.
