reg number
Done a search but didn't come up with the answer, I have 2 donor cars 1977 (R reg)SD1 with nice number (using v8 engine & gearbox) &
Sierra K plate for the rest. Will I be able to use the SD1 reg on the kit car or will I just get an age related plate? Any info gratefully
received.
Cheers,
Dave

If you use 2 components from the SD1 and tell DVLA that all the other donor components were from a scrap yard (unknown donors) you should get an R age
related plate.
If you tell them that loads of parts came from the K reg Sierra then you may get a K age related plate.
If you want to keep the SD1 number then you may be able to put it on retention and then transfer on to the car later.
Check here to see if you qualify.

Snuggs, Thanks but that was what I was trying to avoid as the SD1's been in storage for a number of years.
