Twin Headlights

Can anyone think of a SVA/MOT reason not to put two pairs of smaller headlights at the front? Assuming the radiuses were fine?

They would be rigged to act as one.

Cheers,
James

This is something that has crossed my mind.
Is it permissable to have separate units for dip and main beams?

If i remember right, you are allowed two of eac light on each side of the car, Headlights dipped and high beam and sidelights, but you might want to check an SVA manual

Only 2 dipped beams allowed main beam is usually all four.

Dipped beams should be on the outside -- at least that is how I remember it.

OK, so now the $64,000 question.

How do we think Mr SVA would would view such a set up and would he take his measurements only from the outside of the outer lens? (assuming the lights to be mounted in horizontal pairs).
Or, even better, has anyone passed with a configuration similar?

Well, if the dippable ones are on the outside, then I guess he'd measure to there - that's the light that would always be on when the headlamps are lit.
