SVA reg's regarding tunnels

Can anyone that has experienced the joys of an SVA test just tell me what the rule is with regard to the tranmission tunnel? Does it need to be rounded off or can you get away with one with a square cross section?

I've looked through the SVA manual but am still confused. Mind you automatic doors confuse me!

Any help advice gratefully received.
