Donor Car and SVA

I have just read a topic/ thread that has raised a question i had not thought of and would like some advice.

i bought my donor car off a breakers yard. it had been owned by a yank service man and he was off to another posting. the MOT ran out and so he scrapped the car.

when i bought the car it had been registered as scrapped, it was a runner, just missing its heater matrix. i drove it home (3 or so miles), stripped the car and the breakers came and collected it. car + collection of shell £75 all in.

I never had the V5 form, but kept all the chassis plates and the number plates.

the question is

will i have any problems with the SVA and DVLA by not having all the donors documentation????

Send off for another V5, register it in your name then declare it scrapped again and keep the slip off the logbook for DVLA, or Sorn it till you are ready to declare it scrapped again.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
