Handbrake query
Can someone confirm for me that I'm understanding this correctly.
I've just been reading the SVA manual and I think I understand it but would just like to check. My understanding is that the handbrake system
has to be cable operated and cannot be hydrolic. Is that correct?
Who the f**K tightened this up!

Correct. No solely hydraulic actuation.
i think I heard the rules are changing lately due to some OE manufacturers fitting them as standard.

I agree with the above, no hydraulic only handbrakes..........................................which with my engineers hat on is faintly stupid!!!!!
Why do we trust a steel cable implicitly with our lives when we don't trust a pipe full of fluid............has the world gone mad??
Come to that, have you ever tried to stop a car from speed with the handbrake............I would be too busy aiming the car at something soft at that
point rather than faffing with the crappy handbrake!!
