filling out sva application for my MK indy

hi guys, i've finally got to that point of applying for test but am a bit stuck with a few bits of the form.

my donor was a 1984 2.0 sierra

maximum road speed? i'm pretty sure they were something like 107mph for the sierra running a 2.0 pinto but can anyone give me a better idea?

maximum power engine speed rpm? again unsure what a 2.0 pinto revs up to, i know my cosworth goes to 7k and beyond but a standard pinto i don't know?

design weights of the vehicle? axle 1: and axle 2: in KG any ideas anyone? it's pretty basic inside, plastic side trims, fibreglass seats and a roughly 6gl fuel tank in the back.

i know i may be pushing my luck with the above but i'd be very gratefull for any help.

cheers
john

They use the maximum road speed to check the tyre ratings, so go for 110mph if your tyre ratings are up to it.

Maximum revs they use to test noise at 75% so aim low. Go for about 5,000

Axle 1 design weight 400kg. Axle 2 - 500kg

HTH

I told them it runs up to 5,000 rpm at Derby and they told me they test pintos at 4,000 rpm, 2/3 of 6000 rpm . They accepted my 100mph top speed though.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I put 100mph and that was fine with mitcham station,i put engine revs at 4500 and the examiner tested me at 4000 as pete.

axle weight i put axle 1 at 350kg and axle 2 at 300kg but if its wrong they change it anyway.

I put 100mph on my form, Terry at Exeter SVA called me a lying bastard, laughed outloud, checked the tyre ratings, laughed again and passed me

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
