Headlight panic!!
I just looked at the SVA ruling for headlamp height and it says "the lit glass area must be no more than 400mm from the vehicle edge, and the
lowest point of the glass must not be below 500mm"
This reg assumes that both dip and main beams are on the same level - how does my BMW Mini headlight look to Mr SVA? The dip beam is roughly 500mm off
the ground but the main beam is well below that - will it pass?
Arrgghh

Accord to page 93 on here http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/publications/sva%20draft%20manual.pdf there is no min height for main beam or side lights. 500mm
min is for dipped beam only.
Hope this helps.

Hurrah for Mr SVA!! What a sensible man he is. I will never hear a bad word said against him etc etc
I reckon if I make my front suspension strangely stiff on the day I should get through!
Now I just need to pay more attention in the future
