is insurance needed for registration - INSURED!!!

exactly as title really. i know i need insurance to tax my other cars but when it comes to registering my MK will i need to show a insurance certificate?

trying to insure something that doesn't actually exist on paper (i.e. i have no reg number) is proving a little difficult

Yep as they will sort the tax there and then.

Certainly most specialist kit insurers will insure the car for a period of time on the chassis number, mine did (Adrian Flux).

Rich.

Just remember that there is a strict time-limit for running under the chassis/VIN number - if you don't come back to them with a proper registration number before the end of that period then the policy is cancelled and you lose your money!

(but if you're retesting on Tuesday then you should have no problems... )

30 days to supply them with a registration number.

the theory i'm working with at the moment is i have 14 days to cancell the policy anyway, if (and godforbid but if) it fails again on tuesday then i'll give em a ring and cancell the policy if it looks like i'll miss the 30 days.

it's not gonna fail though!
