Sierra drive shafts and diffs

Hi

i have 2 diffs from a sierra. 1 of which is a 3.62 and the other a 3.92 the both have the "push-in-shafts" the splines that enter the diff are different diameters the thinner splines are for the 3.62 and the thicker ones are for the 3.92 i thought all the push in shafts were the same?? Does anyone know if the shafts are for different brakes size? does anyone know if any of the push in shafts are for disk brakes as i originally though they were only for the drum setup!

Cheers Tom

i seem to recall this one being discussed recently. Search for posts by mr g or liam, i think it was one of them who mentioned it.

im sure push in shafts are only for drum brakes and the two sizes you are talking about are for the 2 different size drums on the sierra models.
