MOT in Birmingham
Can anyone recommend an MOT station in Birmingham where I can get my emissions set up pre-SVA? I want somewhere that has done a kit car before and is
happy with the no-paperwork-MOT idea.

I've noticed recently that a lot of MOT stations have gone computerised... meaning the guys can only MOT a car and not tune it, or fix it while
MOTing it.
Which sucks cos they'll fail the car whatever unless its prefect.
Not what you need if your only trying to set up the engine/jets

Injection and Carb clinic don't do bike engines.
My SVA is very soon. (VOSA phoned today for this Thursday but I still need the catalyst from MNR). Where in Birmingham can I get my R1 carbs tuned
for emissions prior to SVA?

hi colin
you should be able to alter it at the sva station ( you need a small flat bladed screw driver ) also check that your needles are in the fully down
position on the circlip groove and as a starter screw all the mixture screws right in then out half a turn, i have done three on this basic setup and
they have sailed through, if your not sure about the needle thing ring me on my mobile after 7-30 ish and i will talk you through it
best regards
marc
