roll cage/structures and belt mounts

just been pondering over how to do my seat belts adn im not sure if the sva man will be happy.
as seen in pic i was going to weld a tube across the cage parralel with the harness holes im my seats, then weld on steel plate for the harness to bolt to. the tube is only 1" od so didnt think there was enough room for bushes welded through the tube. also, the roll cage was never really meant to be a proper roll cage, it is mainly to support the roof but is 12g 1" od seamless/welded. so im not sure if the sva man will think it is structural enough.
the rear braces are removable but well secured and there will be more structure over the fron when i know the dimensions of the windscreen.
so what d'ya think?
having a proper roll cage made is not out of the question, but if not nesessary i dont see any point.

Cheers,

Russ.
