sva fail - emissions help needed please!
had my first sva today - went well, just failed on on few edges and speedo calibration - but, (big but now) my emissions is out. I have got a 97 zx9r
with a cat in the silencer.
my readings were
idle co 0.13% limit 0.3% pass
fast idle 1st test co 0.69% limit 0.2%
HC 247ppm limit is 200ppm
lambda was 1.27 (limits are 0.97-1.03)
2nd test gave co 1.73%, HC 350ppm and lambda of 0.99.
i did not have any airbleed screws fitted.
can people give me the best way of getting through the emission test??

For high mileage engines a full system flush and oil change can help for the emissions, then atleast if its burning a little oil its clean oil.
