Harness query. - now with piccie
Just a quick question.
Im hoping to get my roll bars fitted this weekend. Im fitting twin cobra style hoops. I intend to weld in another rail behind the top rail
'O' so i can mount the middle 2 points.
If i weld some plates underneath the 2 to bolt my top harness bits too, will this pass sva?

I think i get your drift. You are starting with an inverted 'U' and will make this a round top 'A' and mount the belts from
the horizontal cross bar.
Fitting of seat mounts to roll bars - you have to be careful how the roll bar is secured to the car. My dad failed due to only securing roll bar with
rivnuts (i know this si well known now but not so commonly understood at the time).
Can you not weld some threaded bar onto the rear bulkhead rail to mount the belts and leave the roll bar out of it?
Take care with mounting heights etc.

Heres a rather shoddy picture. The roll bar wont affect the height of the harnesses as these will just be bolted on and the belts not mounted on
them. Its the bulkhead rail im talking about.

I hadent considered welding the threaded tubes the the rail. Think that wil be simpler.
Sorry im not very good at explaining myself.

I think im going to get some threaded tube and weld to the top rail. Seems the easiest option.
