Harnesses
Can't find an 'E' mark on my harnesses. I think they're fairly old. Will they fail the SVA?
Cheers

Not nest of celery, if they are made to the standard or are from a recognised manufacturer they may be o.k.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If worried I can lend you 2 sets of Willans 4-point e-marked harnesses - assuming you have a similar p/up points.

My harnesses are not E marked but they do have a BS number and kite mark. I phoned up my local SVA station and asked if they be OK. He answered
"yeah" as if to day "duh! how could you be so stupid as to not know that!"
Phone up and ask. or else borrow someone elses!

There are various numbers but no BS number or kite mark and no manufacturers name anywhere. There's a tag which says the word NUMBER followed by
some numbers!!!
Thanks for the offer of your harnesses by the way. Mine are bolt on. I thought Willans were the ones with the clips.
Cheers

Jon,
If they're looking a bit old, and have no markings, I would suggest that you need to replace them for your own safety, rather than for the SVA
inspector's benefit!
