2 q's

1. anyone fitted an aluminium ventilation panel to a bonnet, the ones you get in B&Q, homebase etc. From my measurements, distance between peaks is between 25 and 40 mm so blunted edge (rounding off with a file?) only to be SVA compatible?
2. Grrr.... it seems reverse lamp is optional; could have saved myself a fiver had; especially since it doesn't work! If I remove it I am left with 3 holes, more grrr.....
3. I'm trying figure what needs to be done after if I make a hole in the bonnet around the carb air filter From what I understand, if the gap is big enough, then blunted edge will be ok. Anyone know for sure?

I used some louvre panels in my bonnet (carpic2 in archive), weren't even mentioned during SVA. The edges face backwards of course, so theoretically not an issue, don't know if this is relevent for SVA though.
