Joining Copper Brake Lines

Whilst working on the Velocity I notice that the main brake line down through the tunnel has slight damage to it...
I'm not happy about leaving it, but rather than drill out all the p-clips and fiddle a new bit through is it SVA friendly just to cut, swage and join it??? It's right up at the rear end.

as long as it doesn't leak, is secure and doesn't foul anything joining the pipe wil be fine.

built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

Yes BUT you can't just use male tube nut going into a female tube nut.

You need either a male or female joining connector

see part number B599 or B598 on this page

The one on the left, female/female is the one I usually use. You can get them from Namrick for about £3.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

You can in fact use just a male and female pipe nut , thats how Peugeot do it in the factory for the 205 . Better to use a proper joiner though.
