Insurance quote
From my avatar, you can see that my car is not the usual locost.
I am looking for decent quotes.
Adrian Fux have quoted £500 fully comp, 3000 miles limited and £13000 agreed value.
I am 42, have a clean licence with full ncd and ncd protection, but I had one minor scrape last year. I cannot use the ncd on this car as it is on my
tintop.
Anyone give me a lead to a better deal ?

You won't get NCD on a limited mileage policy from any of the kit insurers. Go to any of the others now you have a quote and they will try to
beat it. If you go through them all the last one should in theory be the cheapest.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Seems a bit high. My fury cost half that - and I (was) under 30 last renewal.

I think it is high because my car is my own design and not an already recognised 'type' like a '7'.
I am hoping that I can find an insurer with some common sense.
So far, none of my conversations have led to pictures being sent.
My car (although unproved) has been well engineered, but because it doesn't fall into a recognised box, I may be being quoted too high.
I have now rung Graham Sykes. They asked me of my quotes so far, so I suspect that they will beat my Adrian Flux quote.
I am not a loony driver, but that could change once I get out in it!

Footman James gave me the cheapest quote so far....but don't like others offer any NCD...However, MSM came with in £50 of their's but will
allow me to use a NCD from being a named driver on my mum's policy for three yrs. They will also make that a 4 yr NCD at the end of next year
which brought my renewal down about £250 next year assuming I don't crash....usefull too if you only 21 (having a 4yrs NCD)!! I'd give
them a ring if I were you seemed like nice ppl to deal with aswell....have heard bad things of Footman James in the past...though have never dealt
with them myself.....Oli.

After giving Adrian Flux a shove, they are now quoting £268, down from £500.
Graham Sykes quoted me £228 if I have a Thatcham imobiliser fitted.
Any approved fitters here?
I could do it myself as I am an Electrician. I wired my car and I have fitted several remote start alarms. It is just that I need the official
stamp/signatures etc.
