Using the same rivet for 2 P clips

Hi all.

Is there anything against using the same hole/rivet to hold 2 P clips (for example one for loom and one for brake line)?
Near the diff I would save a few chassis holes...

Thanks in advance,
Joao Caldeira

would think that is ok but keep the p clips opposed to each other for clearance and make sure they insulated clips to protect loom and line from abrasion. Also clip every 300mm

only issue is the clamping range of the rivet. if it can cope with the thickness, then you should be fine.

Hi.
I've done this in a few places, however I have drilled and tapped a hole and then used a small (4mm) mushroom head bolt to attach them.

I haven't checked the sva manual in a while but i think it was 30cm and must be secure as the criteria. 15cm will be plenty, make the examiner happy and means he'll be more likely to think "good build" as opposed to "this is worrying, lets look at everything further".

yep, its 300mm, so you'll be more than ok at 6 inches! (said the actress to the bishop)

on the first point, yep 1 rivet for 2 p clips in opposing fashion is fine and also looks very neat and tidy!
