Markings on rear lights
Do rear lights (indicators and brake/rear light) have to have E or any other markings on them? Concerned mainly for MOT time as the car already
passed SVA (but would be interested to know if these would have passed SVA too).
These are my lights: -
Don't know the source of them but a best guess would be these: -
which according to their website
http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/mcycle-1/mc
ycle-1.html#gen539
are "E approved", but I don't see any markings on that picture either.
So, what's the verdict? Will I have a problem come MOT time or don't they give a monkeys?

I've certainly not noticed any MOT man I've been to looking closely at the rear lights for "E" markings....

With no disrespect to MOT testers, as I have some for friends, I would fairly confidently say they care not for a primate!
as long as theyre working and are orange enough, Roberts your mothers brother.

Aslong as they work and show the correct colours and no white and are bright enough there would be no problem.
They look cool BTW.

I was a Mot tester for twelve years and I dont recall any mention of E marks, Just like the other post, Lots of orange and red. but no white light to
rear other than reverse light, Which was not tested anyway.
But for SVA it may be different.

Ah, you forgot about the number plate light, which until recently only had to work!
