Phoenix SVA Pass

2 years and 1 day after going to pick up a 'part started' Phoenix, I passed SVA today at Nottingham. Drove down the road a bit to the DVLA office got it registered there and then.

The pass was close as my solderless nipple on the handbrake cable kept slipping but with Birt's help and an understanding inspector we got it through eventually.

Just need to put the number plates on and wait for it to stop raining - oh and then finish the car!

Cheers for the help along the way.
Chris

What made you choose Nottingham instead of Garrets Green?

Nottingham seems to have a reputation for being fairly pragmatic in their testing. I think many other places might not have been so helpful in letting us sort the handbrake issue... They also know the phoenix quite well I think.

Travelling time difference is probably not that great as i put the car on the trailer last night and left it at work so just had to go and hitch up on the way passed.
