Dash for SVA

Hi all, is there a list on the forum to highlight what is required on the dash for SVA.

I am using blackbird clocks and switch gear, so I gather that I will need in addition:

Side light switch
Handbrake warning
Brake fluid warning
Hazards
Fog

Also because of space I hope to have a centre section below about 6 inch from the centre of the dash what's the radius rule for SVA hoping to make out of 22mm round tube to house the above switches.

Thanks

just make sure everything is within the 127mm of the sierra steering wheel and you can make it out of what you want

some nice ally tube ie chromed

PS I did this with the r1 switch gear just to drive my car as I have savage switches for when I have time to wire up

but IMHO bike switch gear looks shite in a car

at first I thought it would look ok

PS you are correct about switches

but hasnt the bike got sidelights that can be turned on and off?

the brake and handbrake warning light are the same thing the switch is a push button on top of the master cylinder and obviously the handbrake when applied

I would get a fan switch as these BECs get hot

The exemption zone (where you can put pretty much whatever you like) is 127mm bigger than you steering wheel which means that it doesnt matter whether your switches gauges warning lights etc meet minimum radius requirements as withing the exemption zone there is no minimum radius

take the left hand side of the steering wheel and measure 127mm

put all your gauges switches etc inside this area

things can still be fitted anywhere else on the dash but they will be checked for killer edges

Didn't you mean to say take the left hand side of the biggest possible bus sized steering wheel you could possibly fit?

thats right but he will have been checked for radius most likely or he will have covered the dash with vinly to make the dials sit in more

ill put some pics of my car up later and youll see what I mean

i was planning to use savage switches

Are they radius conform the SVA??

I also wanted to build a overlay out of 2mm stainless..

Sow in the sheet there will be 2mm of sharp edge will that be a problem?

How could i manage this trick to be SVA compliant with out using venyl and stuff

would a champfer be enough??

Tks
