Going to be booking SVA soon

Has anyone done their SVA at Edmonton recently?

Do I have to travel to the nearest centre, and is one centre better than another?

Yes you are expected to travel to your nearest centre. When filling in the form you have to also put down a second choice.
From what I've experienced and read on the forum, all the centres are very fair and professional, so I wouldn't worry about comparing one with the other, after all you have little or no choice where you have the assessment anyway.
If it's obvious you have been taking great care and attention of what is required in building your car, then they do all they can to help you through (they are not hell bent on failing you)
Mine was at Nottingham , they were superb and very helpful with suggestions. They even stuck a bit of rubber trim on for me while me and the missus were frantically sorting something else out.
Thankfully the jalopy passed.
All in all a very positive experience

Don't worry, the anticipation is much worse than the event. I was a wreck beforehand. Once that MAC is in your mitts the stress just falls away.

All the very best with the SVA

I think you can choose which centre you want and put it on the form, not sure it has to be the nearest.

The reality really is much better than you think it is going to be, te stress leading up to it is all self inflicted as you worry about every little piece and whether it's right or indeed if you might even not make it for some reason (I arrived at 06.30am for an 8am test!! )

I can honestly say that the guys I had were excellent and very helpful, explaining things as they went.

I know it's been said before but to re-iterate, presentation is half the battle, if it looks the part then you are half way there.

When the guy said I had passed I nearly kissed him!!! He genuinly seemed happy for me and congtratulated me and we shook hands.

I'm sure wherever you choose the guys willbe fine.

Rich.
