Radius of exhaust tip ?
Ive just got a bare metal edge on the tip of my exhaust. Think I'll need to tack on a piece of bar wrapped around it for SVA but what radius
does it have to be ? is it 5mm ?
edit : just realised I meant diameter not radius of 5mm.

I think it still comes under the 2.5mm rules.

Yeah - im sure it is the 2.5mm external rad rule here. Can you fit an aftermarket tail pipe trim? Im not sure if this could present another fail
though.
My tail pipe has the rolled edge so wasnt checked. I had to be very careful with the silencer mount though. It is a Fiesta engine mount, the type
where the rubber is sandwiched between 2 steel plates with studs sticking out. The steel plates had to be covered - i used a piece of ali, bent into a
curved 'L' with trim around the edges - bonded on top of the mount with polyurethane adhesive.

My local pipe benders formed a ring with i/d to suit the tail pipe diameter out of 5mm dia st.st. rod which was then welded to the tail pipe, see

My exhaust exit finishes flush with my side sill is it safe to assume that I will still need a rolled edge?
