SVA Failed in Aberdeen
Well Failed my first SVA Test.
Quite a list of fail points, but most were just minor (wire and pipes not clipped up enough and a couple of sharp edges missed)
Speedo failed, but it just need tweaking.
The wing mirrors failed, so I will have to replace them, from searching the forums the consensus seems to be the CBR 600 mirrors pass the SVA?
The Guy at Aberdeen was very helpful and even offered some free advice regarding a couple of Non SVA point he noticed.
Shouldn't take me long to get the list fixed, then back for a re-test.

Sad he can point them out just to get a re test knowing all the fixes blow off on the home!
Its just another tax for the GOV but a very good learning curve for us all here when somebody posts their own failure.
Good luck next time...

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just buy a pair. Any chance of a piccy of where you fitted yours?
BTW, I'm in Cupar, so not too far away from you.

The ones I have are NOT E marked and got through SVA in Glasgow.. but depends on the man at the time I think! main problem is field of view and sharp
edges.. did you have a center mirror? and just keep the wing ones high to see over the rear wings

Not too much, and at least now I've got a nice list of what I need to finish. It's the best feeling I've ever had in failing.

To be honest, not really, other than to say that the thought of the SVA is much worse that the actual SVA. I though he would tear my car to pieces
but he didn't and other than that the whole experience was quite pleasant.
He picked me up on a lot of wiring, so I would make sure that there are not any wires not covered with loom tape etc.
