Zetec power in donor.

If I put a 1998, for example 2.0L zetec engine on/in, the car/logbook of my 1993 K reg Sierra donor will the engine count as 1993 with regard to the emmisions/cat test?

Is this a way to avoid the post 1995 controls??

No it won't work (unfortunately)
It's the age of manufacture of the engine that counts.
As determined by the engine No.
And before you say it, changing the engine No. is a criminal offence

It will however count towards your age related plate.
Crazy aint it?
