I'm curious tks - why get your car SVA'd in the UK? Do you intend to import the car to the UK at a later date?
I would have thought that Spain would have their own system for new vehicles.

If you want it SVAd, then obviously it needs to be set up for UK.
I don't think you could drive it here, because it wouldn't be registered anywhere to be road-legal. You would have to trailer it. Some of
the Dutch guys have done it... do a search for Netherlands or something.
I guess you could get one of the manufacturers to prep it and put it through the SVA - I think MK do it and Mac#1, but they might only want to do
their own. Luego has just been picked up by new owners, so they might have their hands full. I think there has been some recent stuff about one of the
manufacturers putting builders' cars through SVA - again, search on here.
Headlights need to be UK beam pattern, i.e. dipping to the left. You would either have to get some UK-spec ones just for the test, of get ones that
can be adjusted both ways.
Speedo has to show MPH - not sure if it has to be kph as well
Reverse light is not compulsory, butmust work if fitted.
Fog light is compulsory - location, angle, type, etc. specificed in the SVA manual.
Assuming you are doing this because it is difficult to get homebuilt cars registered in Spain, then I think you will also have to register the car in
the UK.
Que tengas suerte!

Yeah
Its over here a really pain in the arse!
and i spoke to smartripper from here.
he has a MK Indy and almost drives around in HOLLAND with it!!!
In spain they aren't very likely to import cars let stay newly builded!!.
Also in the sva manual you many times read that left handed are excluded from the rule.
Sow i thought it would be easyer as getting a engineeer over here doing calculations etc. etc.
with all the hassle..
the costs are also allot higher:
its 750pounds for starting the things up.
then i need an engineer to make up the car papers (weight, dimensions) etc.
sow would also cost me 100pounds.
then every problem they see on my car the time needed to correct it is also costing me money..
etc. etc.
With other words they don't like new cars etc. etc.

That explains your reason for coming to the UK for the SVA. I didn't realise that Spanish regulations were so strict.
Time for a holiday in the UK then.

i was looking for it already...
maybe i should search for some people who lives big and wich has nice room for my car , trailer, and offcourse camping stuff..
a couple of garage tools would also help allot!(in case i fail )
Sow who wants to start this summer with a big plus in pounds
Tks
actual stage is that because of the trip costs are high and maybe they even refuse SVA papers!! i'm searching for a way to do it over here......

You are lucky to be in Spain. At least you have rules for the SVA equivellent, although a bit expensive (IIRC up to 2000 Eur)
In Portugal there are NO rules (the last legislation explicitly said "for home made cars there will be future legislation." Guess what?!
Never came out...
