Had sterling service from Geof Mace @ Caithness & Co. Don't know if he'll do young drivers, but worth a call. Was cheaper than all the
above for me (old man - just turned 30)

Why wouldnt they quote? I'm 23 and got a quote from the above for a 1300 crossflow powered car pretty easily, cheapest was adrian flux at
298.

When I told Adrian Flux that Footman James had quoted me £480 the fuy said there was no way he was going to get anywhere near it. Can't remeber
reasons given by others.

Just had a call from Roadsure. They won't quote me Fully comp as I am under 25 (by 6 months!) they offered me 3rd pf&t for 350, with max car
value of £5000, not that value makes any difference for 3rd party!

Hi
I'm 26 and the cheapest quote I had by far (£250 on a 2.0 pinto viento, ropy area in manchester, 3pts for TS10) last year was Greenlight
insurance - try googling it. However, I tried to add my 22 year old girlfriend to the policy, but they wouldn't do it because of her age. I was
extraordinarily grateful. They're worth a try.
I'm with Adrian Flux this year. £288 for same car with 2.5ltr engine. Costs me £1300 for my Leon Cupra. Guess which one I'll be getting
rid of soon...
The other thing that might be worth trying is Norwich Union's Day insurance; usually £10 per day for pretty much anything (including my
mate's elise). Might be worth doing it like that until you turn 25?

i don't understand the problem, when i was 17 (now 19) i phoned many insurers mostly well known ones including all mention above and was give a
quote from them, true some were over £3000 but they still quoted me! FOOTMAN JAMES is the way forward, 19 years old, wrote a car of two years ago, and
have a 1.8 pinto engined kit insure fully comp for £469, this include european breakdown!!! five star service and help,

Thanks everyone for all your help and advice. Things are getting better, well that is to say that i am at least getting quotes now! In summary:
Adrian Flux - Won't quote
Sureterm - Nope
MSM - £446
Footman James - £459
Hoddesdon Insurance Consultants - £430
Osborne & Sons - £600
Roadsure - Nope (3rdpf&t only for £350)
Do these seem reasonable?
They all seem to rake up the price when I tell them i got an SP30 in 2002 and had an accident last July, when some Illegal minicab driver ran a red
light and T-boned the company car I was driving!
Don't want 3rd party only, had enough grief and bloodshed building the car! Seems like it could be the only way. Either that or the daily cover
seems like a good option until i am 25, thanks Tricky Dave.
Going to try the following tmrw: Greenlight, Caithness & Co
