woohoo sva pass!!!!!

Well they always say three times lucky!

took the mac to fulwood, everythings sorted so i can now 'officially' use the car!

the guy testing said it was only the second bec he had ever passed (emissions wise) so i was doubly chuffed.

things could have worked out differently though. car passed the fast idle on the umpteenth run, the guy said drop the revs to 800 for the idle test er it won't run at 800rpm it's a bike engine. Well you'll fail then the engines in a car now. anyway it sort of ticked over without cutting out and luckily passed.

fingers crossed for sunny weather this weekend!!

I didn't know there was a SVA centre in Fulwood, I thought that my nearest one (I'm in Coppull) was in Oldham?

Be very very careful... nothing in the world like a very small high powered car... there are tales of woe all over these pages... us included!

al how much did you fork out for those image wheels, must admit the car looks great, some nice trimming around the front suspension!

more pictures please

also have you used, two sets of bonnet clips, one set from scuttle to bonnet, and one set from bonnet to nose cone, or have you rivetted you bonnet to your nose cone? or..(sorry) have you used an alternative live dzuz nuts etc

the more help you can give me mate the better, as im starting to hit more and more stumbling blocks

ATB

omega,

the wheels are a bit special and wern't ahem the cheapest. They are split polished solid billets. Tyre wise i'm running 235/40/17 on the rear, and 195/50/16's on the fronts. I'm going to get the car cleaned up later and will get some piccies together.
The nosecone is rivetted to the bonnet with just two clips at the back. I think this is the best way as it gives you access to everything when removed. I have heard stories about people losing bonnets when they are the four clamp type - this shouldn't be able to happen with mine.
