Pre SVA photos
Hi again,
With our SVA booked for next thursday we still need to do some things but heres some photos of the car so far. Feel free to point out any things that
obviously need sorting before next week.
Sorry about the number of photos to come!
Pic 1
We already know that the shocks need some kind of gaitor over that we will sort this weekend. Also, the bolt clamping the mushroom in needs replacing
because it's too short so it doesn't have a cover yet. We also know another piece of something is needed on the track rod ends.

U trim is going around exhaust surround closer to SVA to prevent melting before lol
Also know we need the insulation on the negative battery terminal.

Hiring CAT from MK sportscars but same bracket design is being used

Is it worth putting trim around the edges of where the side panels fit?
Cheers

I know at Beverley the suction rear view mirror needs to be glued to the scuttle. Looks a really nice build. Good luck.

Pic 10 - you might need some U trim round the seat belt metal mounting triangles and maybe the seat edges
Pic 7 is the rear fog light absolutely vertical? it needs to be..
Good effort though - looks really good

Possibles to check - caught me out...
6th picture down, the bolt at the rear of the silencer, is it contactable by 100mm sphere?
Seat belt top mounts, behind the seats, are the edges of the bit bolted to the car contactable, I was told this was a "new"
requirement.
Need a reflector at the back
Got all the fuel and brake hose identity and specification to hand?
Do the tyres have the load & speed index clearly marked ie after all the 195/55 R15 etc do they have something like "86 V" or
similar.
Good luck

Thanks for the positive responses guys going to Nottingham since it’s only about 5 miles from us.
Ruskino – that was the plan
Howler – Was wondering about this has anyone had any experience of suction mirrors at Nottingham?
Mookaloid – Well spotted, trim going around triangles as soon as I can get back in the garage. Rear fog is very near to vertical think it’s just the
angle of the pic
JohnN – Will put nut cover on clamp bolt - another one i missed. Belt mounts being U trimmed. Got small reflectors from MAC#1 on side of rear arches
between back panel. Anyone know what certification I will need for SVA? Think fuel filler hose will be the one we’ll be struggling with since it
isn’t stamped what have people done about this? Anyone know where I can get online certification from? Tyres are marked.
Westf27 – TREs going to be covered with something once I’ve figured out what is best to use . Pedals are non slip.
Snoopy – Going to use rack gaiters on shocks to cover them. Already have a large nut cover on adjuster. Panelling under dash so radius shouldn’t be
much of a problem.
Anything else we need to watch out for?
Cheers
Ed

Re. mookaloid's point about harness mounting plates, is it usual to trim these?
Thanks,
