ZX12-R build update
Hi guys thought id show off the work so far and maybe get a couple of questions asked.
Oil Cooler and Rad on the slant you should be able to see the deflecter i done to hopefully direct the air to the rad.
Does anyone know what i need to do with the hose coming from the carbs to the Kleen air system ? I realise i need to blank off the cam covers but am
unsure whether i just need to wack a bolt and araldite in the other hose or reconnect it somewhere.

We made some new ones...
and blanked off the returns. Dumped the small stat as it is not needed. Make sure it is all sealed up.

Ah Ha the man himself i wanted to ask you something else please aswell .
How have you done the fuel line do you have two fuel lines to the tank one from the outlet on the original fuel pump and then a return from the fuel
separator ? And what do i do with the other pipes coming from the separator?

Just cut it back short to the throttle body and fit a bolt in it, make sure it is a tight fit and put some gaske / silicon sealant on it for good
measure.
Cheers

Yup, thats what I did... otherwise you get some major backfires on throttle lift and the exhaust glows red!!!
Opinions are like backsides..
Everyone has one, nobody wants to hear it and only other peoples stink!

Fuel separator and associated pipework was binned completely, leaving only one fuel line from the ZX12R in-tank pump to the engine.

So did you just block off the hose coming back from the carb to the separator ?
Did it not run right with it then ?
Anyways im glad i asked i thought i remembered you only using one fuel line.

The TB hose was removed and blanked... as all it does is return vapours to the feed to intend a clean burn.
The throttle body inlets were blanked off using a similar principle to the brake bleed caps... using 4 (1 on each TB) of them with silicon sealer
makes an easy airtight seal. You could always use it but we didn't.

Pictures speak a thousand words and would be much appreciated.
Been searching on the Yahoo bec group and noticed a message you posted regarding this last year. You obviously been having no problems or you would
have changed it to allow for a fuel return.
Do you know whether it may be slighly different from year to year we have a 2002 B1H model.

Crankcase breather. Stick some hose on it and a small K&N filter or similar.

Looks nice and tidy thanks for that.
Crankcase breather ok cool.
Got most stuff sorted now fueling cooling system and the oil system so soon it will be the mamouth and pretty daunting task of the elctrics... Cant
wait.
Just one more question honestly ! Do you have a inline fuel filter from the tank to the throttle bodies ?

Yes, it's a fuel injected filter for a Fiat Punto. Tail diameters are same as ZX12R's
